Our Mission

Whether you are a lifelong devotee, a curious seeker, or simply someone looking for community, you are welcome here exactly as you are.

Spreading Guruji Maharaj’s Divine Light By

Uniting Hearts Through Satsang, Seva, and Simran

Guruji Maharaj was the light divine who descended on July 7, 1952, to bless and enlighten humanity. Born in the village of Dugri, Punjab, his arrival was marked by divine signs identifying him as an embodiment of Lord Shiva. Though a gifted scholar with Master’s degrees in English and Economics, his true path was a "highly engaged pursuit" of spiritual deliverance for all.

Our mission is to humbly continue this path in Seattle, Washington, by:

  • Satsang: Cultivating sacred gatherings where the sangat is supreme, and devotees can experience his grace and healing.

  • Seva: Engaging in selfless service, following Guruji’s exhortation to become "good human beings" who help everybody and harm none.

  • Simran: Focusing on the sacred connection between Guru and disciple through prayer and meditation.

Through these pillars, we aim to build a lasting sanctuary that fosters healing, uplifts hearts, and connects generations in devotion.

Supporting the Seva

Guruji was a "giver" who never expected or took anything from anyone. He taught that spirituality is not a subject of curiosity but a commitment to the welfare of others. In this spirit, the Guruji Sangat of Seattle operates through the collective seva of its devotees.

Your contributions are a blessed offering at Guruji’s holy feet, directly supporting the following needs:

  • Our Redmond Sanctuary: Covering the monthly rent and utilities for our current sacred space in Redmond, ensuring a consistent home for our weekly gatherings.

  • Langar and Tea Prasad: Providing the blessed food and tea that Guruji endowed with special divine blessings for the healing of the sangat.

  • Special Events: Organizing larger community celebrations to share the message of the shabads, the sacred hymns that act as a map for our spiritual journey.

  • A Permanent Home: Contributing toward our future vision of establishing a permanent Mandir in the Seattle area, a "heaven on earth" for future generations.

Every donation, big or small, helps sustain this spiritual path. We offer our deepest gratitude for your part in this mission.

“Kalyan karta... Blessings always.”
